Before practicing law I taught in both public and private schools for twelve years and earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from Cal State, Los Angeles.  I  received my Juris Doctor from Concord Law School (America's Premier Online Law School) and passed the California Bar Exam on my first attempt.  I moved to San Diego in early 2009 to join the firm of Zampi, Determan & Erickson LLP which provides quality professional support for progressive school districts and individuals throughout the State of California. (www.zde-law.com)  While I set out to do "school law" at ZDE, my bankruptcy and HOA practice grew rapidly to the point where I had no time to work on school law matters.   In September 2009, I made the decision to once again work as a solo practitioner.  In November 2009, I returned to the same neighborhood in West Hollywood that I have called home for the last ten years.

I am admitted to the State Bar of California and to the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California. Born in Kansas, I came to California in 1984 and served four years in the United States Marine Corps as an air traffic controller.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree from UC Irvine in Social Ecology.  Although, I live in West Hollywood, I travel frequently to meet clients throughout Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties.  I am the lawyer who makes house calls so you don't have to take time off from work to meet with your attorney.
